Pizza, Music Enjoyed at HRM Benefit on August 9!
How can flatbread pizza save a life?  When it's enjoyed like it was on August 9, 2011, at The Flatbread Company at The Shoppes of Farmington Valley in Canton.  Friends of the Mission converged on this popular restaurant from 5-10 p.m. for all-natural, wood-fired pizza.  Local musicians Jen Lowe and The Carrie Johnson Band performed from 6-9 p.m.  The restaurant, as part of its Tuesday Benefit Night, donated a portion of the proceeds for each flatbread pizza purchased.  Special thanks to everyone who helped make this a special evening for Hartford Rescue Mission.  Click here to see photos from the event.

Mission to Serve Easter Breakfast on April 7
Hartford Rescue Mission recognizes that Easter marks new life and new beginnings, so we're pleased to serve a free breakfast on Saturday, April 7, from 9 a.m. to 12 noon at the Women's League Child Development Center, 1695 North Main Street, Hartford.  The nourishing breakfast includes eggs, pancakes, grits, sausage, ham, and hash browns.  Volunteers are needed to prepare and serve the meal to local individuals and families in need.

"All who come will receive a warm welcome, a hearty country breakfast, and a listening ear," said Rev. Gregg Woods, executive director of Hartford Rescue Mission.  He added that the Mission is continuing to prepare its new home at 710 Windsor Street for an opening to be announced later in 2012.  If you can help with providing, preparing or serving the Easter Breakfast, please contact Rev. Woods at 860.241.0989 or via email
